VIV™ — identity verification without storing a single image
At lockout, the associate's photo is shown to the on-site manager for a one-time visual identity check. The manager verifies and signs off — and the image is then discarded. It is never stored, on-premise or in the cloud. Only a one-way verification hash and the manager's signature are recorded: encrypted data that cannot be reversed into a picture or used to identify a person. No face is scanned and no facial recognition is used. This eliminates buddy punching without building a biometric database, and it is always consent-gated.
Zero-Wake Offline Compliance — no record is ever lost
When the network drops, the kiosk holds every safety record locally and transmits the moment connectivity returns. Records write to an immutable audit database — timestamped, identity-bound, and continuous with the asset's repair history. Extended outages do not create gaps. Patent pending.
What KnowMain™ Watchdog is — and is not
KnowMain™ Watchdog is a compliance, monitoring, and knowledge platform. It does not control, stop, actuate, or interlock machinery, and it is not a certified safety-control device. Machine telemetry is read-only: existing SCADA and PLC gateways send data out; nothing flows back to machine controls. Any hazard detection raises an alert and logs it — a detection-and-alert layer, never a safety interlock. Your facility's certified safety systems remain the safety layer. We describe this as safety-awareness and compliance documentation, deliberately, and we do not offer a "compliance guarantee."
Hardware stays light
A handheld tablet at the kiosk and any browser for the dashboard. No on-premise server, no edge GPU, no PLC integration required. The platform is designed to sit beside an existing CMMS, not replace it; compliance records are structured and exportable, and a direct connector to a specific system is scoped per deployment.
The same engine, beyond the plant floor
